Who is Really in Control?

The snow is falling fast and furious today. The weather forecast is for 2 feet of snow and the winds are gusting to 25 mph.

Funny, I thought as I watched the wintery storm, how God has a way of stepping in at the most inopportune times, interrupting our schedules and plans, isn't it? Stores closed, Christmas activities cancelled, and everyone home bound. It's like God is saying "See, I'm still in control here, not you." And He is, isn't he?

His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts, but God is still God Almighty and the greatest power in the universe regardless of what we may think or believe.

He is the great "I am", the Creator of the Universe, and Lord Most High. Who are we to question why He allows things to happen as they do?

When things are out of our control and we don't understand why things happen and our plans and our world seem to be falling apart at the seams, may our response be like Mary's when told she was going to have a baby out of wedlock so many centuries ago. "I am the Lord's servant. Let it be done to me as you have said." (Luke 1:38)

And then feel how the peace of God covers you like the snowflakes blanket the earth.

Peace and goodwill to all!
