Choosing Positivity

Since we have been talking about making choices, I thought the blog entry by Michael Hyatt entitled "Which type of thinker are you?" was particularly timely. He is the chairman of Thomas Nelson Publishers and his topic is about how we think. The verse he quotes is from Proverbs 23:7 which says "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he." It was interesting to read the various replies. Some folks are abundance thinkers and some are on the fence, struggling to overcome depression and scarcity mentality. I think it all boils down to whether one has a fear or faith-based belief system. People who are fear-based tend to have a scarcity mentality. They become victims. They hoard possessions and tend not to trust others. Faith-based folks, on the other hand, are positive people. They know that everything comes from God and God never runs out. They are givers and encouragers. They trust that things will work out for the good. So, what type of belief-system have you chosen? Have you accepted by default the beliefs of your parents? Are you a scarcity or an abundance thinker? Write and share your thoughts with us!
